Action, battles and adrenaline: these are the ingredients for an incredible Motosprint Mugello Round, that was stunning until the chequered flag. Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team) beats Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno), and wins by just 43 thousandths over her compatriot, who becomes European runner up.
It was a Santos-Rivera show, and Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA) is on the podium. The Italian is third and winner of the Civ Femminile, which this weekend is together with the Women’s European Championship. The rider from Abruzzo overtakes Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse), fourth, in the final lap.
Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA) is fifth ahead of Austrian Lena Kemmer (Bertlkr Racing), sixth after overtaking Jessica Howden (Trasimeno) in the final stages of the race. The South African is ahead of Israeli Ran Yochay (Celo Racing), eighth. Patrycja Sowa (Sowa Racing) and Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) close the WEC top 10 and they are tenth and twelfth overall respectively. Beatrice Barbera (GP3 AD11), 13th, and Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind), 20th, close the WEC group.
The penultimate WEC round is under the belt, now we take a little break before the season finale. The Women’s European Championship will end the 2023 campaign in Imola from 6th to 8th October.

Roberta Ponziani – 3rd position (CIV Femminile winner)
“It was a very tough race. I started well, but at the first corner many riders overtook me, and I lost some time in the first lap. The girls on top took some advantage, then I realized that I could catch and overtake Sara, so I took the slipstream to overtake her. Thanks to everyone”.

Santos vince un duello spettacolare con Rivera nel WEC Motosprint Mugello Round
Azione, battaglie e adrenalina: questi gli ingredienti per un Motosprint Mugello Round incredibile, che ha lasciato con il fiato sospeso fino alla bandiera a scacchi. Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team) conquista il successo in volata su Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno), e vince per soli 43 millesimi sulla connazionale, che così è vice-campionessa europea.
Santos e Rivera infiammano la gara WEC al Mugello e sul podio c’è anche Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA), terza e vincitrice della categoria CIV Femminile, che questo fine settimana corre insieme alla Women’s European Championship. La pilota abruzzese riesce a superare nel finale Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse), quarta.
Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA) è quinta davanti all’austriaca Lena Kemmer (Bertlkr Racing), sesta dopo aver superato Jessica Howden (Trasimeno) nelle fasi finali di gara. La sudafricana precede l’israeliana Ran Yochay (Celo Racing), ottava. Patrycja Sowa (Sowa Racing) e Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) chiudono la top 10 WEC e sono decima e dodicesima nella classifica generale. Chiudono il gruppo WEC Beatrice Barbera (GP3 AD11), tredicesima, e Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind), ventesima.
Archiviato il penultimo round WEC, è ora il momento di prendersi una piccola pausa prima del finale di stagione. La Women’s European Championship concluderà il suo 2023 a Imola, nel weekend dal 6 all’8 ottobre.

“È stata una gara durissima. Sono partita bene, ma alla prima curva mi sono fatta superare e ho perso tempo al primo giro. Le prime hanno preso vantaggio, poi per fortuna negli ultimi giri ho visto che riuscivo a recuperare su Sara e alla fine ho preso la scia per superarla. Grazie a tutti”.
