The WEC is underway in Brno for the fourth weekend of the 2023 season. The Czech circuit hosts the S97 RACING Brno Round, and Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno) leads the Friday free practice sessions. The Spanish rider is the fastest rider in the combined classification of the first and second session.
For many girls this is the first race on this track, but the feelings are already very good. Rivera is off to a great start and she is ahead of Sara Sanchez (511 Racing Team), second in Friday’s free practice in her first weekend in the WEC this year. Making her debut on this track, the Spaniard precedes her team-mate Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team). The reigning champion is third, nine tenths behind her compatriot and leader of the day.
Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA) is fourth ahead of Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA), while Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse) is sixth and completes the Italian hat-trick. South African Jessica Howden (Trasimeno) closes Friday in seventh, while Austrian Lena Kemmer (Bertlk Racing) is eighth. The Israeli Ran Yochay (Celo Racing) and Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) are ninth and tenth respectively and they close the top 10. The Norwegian Mia Rusthen (Trasimeno) is eleventh and the Estonian Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind) closes the group in twelfth.
Natalia Rivera – 1st position
“We are very happy with today’s work, despite not knowing the track. It is my first day here and we managed to have a good pace and be the fastest. We will continue like this tomorrow”.
Sara Sanchez – 2nd position
“We are on a new track for me. I wouldn’t say it didn’t go bad, but there are some things to improve, the front was closing a little bit. But I think we are on the right way, and we can do even better. I’m happy to be back to race in the WEC”.
Beatriz Neila Santos – 3rd position
“Today it was difficult, we had some problems with the bike. But tomorrow will be better, in the end I am happy because we are working on the bike for tomorrow. I thank the team, everyone for their work”.
Tomorrow it’s race day, but first qualifying will take place. Race 1 will start at 16:40 on Saturday, while the weekend will end with Race 2 on Sunday at 11:15.

Rivera precede Sanchez e Santos nel venerdì dell’S97 RACING Brno Round
La WEC è in scena a Brno per il quarto weekend della stagione. Il circuito ceco ospita l’S97 RACING Brno Round, che vede Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno) al comando del venerdì di libere. Nella classifica combinata della prima e della seconda sessione, è la pilota spagnola la più veloce.
Per molte ragazze è la prima esperienza su questo tracciato, ma le sensazioni sono già molto buone. Rivera inizia alla grande e precede Sara Sanchez (511 Racing Team), seconda nel venerdì di libere in quello che è il suo primo weekend nella WEC quest’anno. Al debutto su questa pista, la spagnola precede la compagna di squadra Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team). La campionessa in carica è terza con nove decimi di distacco dalla connazionale e leader di giornata.
Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA) è quarta davanti a Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA), mentre Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse) è sesta e completa la tripletta italiana. La sudafricana Jessica Howden (Trasimeno) chiude il venerdì in settima posizione, mentre l’austriaca Lena Kemmer (Bertlk Racing) è ottava. Chiudono la top 10 l’israeliana Ran Yochay (Celo Racing) e Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing), nona e decima rispettivamente. La norvegese Mia Rusthen (Trasimeno) è undicesima e l’estone Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind) chiude il gruppo in dodicesima posizione.
Natalia Rivera – 1^ posizione
“Siamo molto contenti del lavoro di oggi, nonostante non conoscessimo la pista. È il mio primo giorno qui e siamo riusciti ad avere un ritmo veloce ed essere i più rapidi. Continueremo su questa linea anche domani”.
Sara Sanchez – 2^ posizione
“Siamo su una pista nuova per me. Direi che non è andata male, ma ci sono delle cose da migliorare, mi si chiude un po’ l’anteriore. Però penso che siamo sulla strada giusta, possiamo fare ancora meglio. Sono contenta di essere tornata per disputare la gara nella WEC”.
Beatriz Neila Santos – 3^ posizione
“Oggi la giornata è stata difficile, abbiamo avuto qualche problema alla moto. Ma domani andrà meglio, alla fine sono contenta perché stiamo lavorando sulla moto per domani. Ringrazio il team, tutti per il lavoro”.
Domani si comincia con le gare, ma prima andrà in scena la qualifica. Gara 1 scatterà alle ore 16:40 sabato, mentre il weekend si concluderà con Gara 2, domenica alle ore 11:15.
