Two days of testing prior to the start of the new season were hosted at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”, on the 27th and 28th March. Together with the CIV riders, some of our girls hit the track for a little taste of the 2023 WEC campaign.
Our riders found a sunny and warm weather, so they could ride their bikes and kept working on what they did during the winter. It was very important, so they can be prepared for the start of the season, that will kick off right here in Misano from the 28th to the 30th April.
Lots of confirmations and some news: hitting the track in Misano was a comeback for some riders, while other girls made their debut at the Italian venue, so they started familiarizing with the Romagna circuit.
But all the girls had something in common: they shared the excitement for the action on track before the start of a new season, that promises to be full of battles and emotions. Some of them told us their first impressions after this two days of testing at the Misano World Circuit.
Ran Yochay
“After a long pre season it was super nice to be back on my racing bike in a big circuit and see all the girls again! We had a lot of work to do with the bike and I think we found the good direction. I’m excited for the first race!”
Roberta Ponziani
“They’ve been two positive days, sunny and warm. I felt good with the bike, it was my second test with my team, so it was useful to get to know each other. I had good feeling with the tyres too. I’m happy, the laptimes are still a bit high, but I’m happy with the work of the team. We should be ok for the first race and we are so positive”.

“I end up my test with happiness, because my first goal was to know this track, which is new for me. The feeling was good and I’m happy to make my debut at the Misano track! I’m eager to start the first race!”

Il Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli ha ospitato due giorni di test che anticipano l’inizio della stagione 2023. Insieme ai piloti del Campionato Italiano Velocità, alcune ragazze del WEC sono scese in pista per un piccolo assaggio di quello che sarà il 2023 dell’europeo.
Sole e temperature miti hanno accolto le nostre pilote, che hanno potuto girare per due giorni continuando il lavoro dell’inverno, molto importante per arrivare preparate al primo round della stagione, che si svolgerà proprio a Misano nel weekend dal 28 al 30 aprile.
Tante conferme e diverse novità: per alcune scendere in pista a Misano ha rappresentato un gradito ritorno, mentre per qualcun’altra è stato il debutto su una pista nuova, con cui ha iniziato a familiarizzare.
Ciò che però accomuna tutte le ragazze è l’entusiasmo per il ritorno in azione prima l’inizio di una nuova stagione, che si preannuncia combattuta e ricca di spettacolo. Alcune delle protagoniste del Women’s European Championship hanno raccontato le loro prime impressioni al termine dei due giorni di test al Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

“Dopo una lunga pre-stagione è stato bello tornare in sella alla mia moto su una pista grande e vedere di nuovo le ragazze! Avevamo molto lavoro da fare con la moto e penso che abbiamo trovato la giusta direzione. Sono impaziente per la prima gara!”.
Roberta Ponziani
“Sono state due giornate molto positive, c’era il sole temperature ideali. Mi sono trovata bene con la moto, era il mio secondo test con il team quindi ci è servito un po’ per conoscerci. Buone sensazioni anche con le gomme. Sono contenta, i tempi sono un po’ alti ancora, ma sono soddisfatta del lavoro del team e di tutto. Dovremmo essere a posto per la gara e siamo positivi”.

“Finisco questi test contenta, perché il mio obiettivo principale era conoscere questa pista che per me è nuova. Le sensazioni sono state buone e sono felice di aver debuttato sulla pista di Misano! Concludo questi due giorni con molta voglia che inizi già la prima gara!”
