Finally the action of the Women’s European Championship has started again, this weekend we are hitting the track in Czech Republic for the Libe Most Round, the third of the season. For the first time ever, the championship arrives in Most, where the reigning champion immediately gets the lead: Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team) is the fastest on Friday, completing her best lap in 1’50″243 which gives her provisional pole position.
The Spanish driver takes a full second off her direct opponent today, Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse). The Tuscan rider was third initially, but she climbed to second position after Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA) was disqualified for a technical irregularity. The Abruzzo rider starts her hunt for redemption in Most with difficulty, while Santos makes the difference on the whole group, which is very compact, though.
So, it seems to be a hard-fought weekend, with Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA) in third position, ahead of Chilean Isis Carreño (GP3 AD11), in fourth. Next up is Israeli Ran Yochay (Celo Racing), fifth and “leader” of a large international group: South African Jessica Howden (Trasimeno) is sixth ahead of Polish rider Patrycja Sowa (Sowa Racing).
Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) is eighth despite a difficult weekend start due to an illness that prevented her from FP1. Mia Rusthen (Trasimeno) is ninth, and she took advantage of Beatrice Barbera’s (GP3 AD11) disqualification for a technical irregularity. So, the Sardinian gives her ninth position to the Norwegian, followed by Lena Kemmer (Bertlkr Racing), who closes the top 10. Friday afternoon was complicated for Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno) and Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind), who were forced to skip Q1 after a contact in free practice that destroyed both bikes. Both riders are ok, luckily.
Beatriz Neila Santos – 1st position
“Qualifying went well despite the wind. The circuit is beautiful, I like it a lot. I am happy and I hope to repeat the result tomorrow. I want to thank the team, the sponsors, and my family”.
Sara Cabrini – 2nd position
“Q1 went well, the time I set is good for today. For tomorrow I hope to improve a little, this morning we were not in a very good position. In qualifying we sorted out a few things and for tomorrow we hope to be among the leaders”.
Aurelia Cruciani – 3rd position
“The day started a bit uphill with a crash due to the strong wind. Then it got better, and we immediately regained yesterday’s best time. In qualifying I was always on my own and I made a good time which I am very happy about. Tomorrow we will try to do even better”.
Tomorrow is already race day, but first there will be qualifying, at 10:10. Race 1 will start at 14:15. The Libe Most Round will end on Sunday with Race 2, which will start at 9:45.

Santos la più veloce nel venerdì del Libe Most Round
Finalmente è ricominciata l’azione della Women’s European Championship, questo fine settimana torna in pista in Repubblica Ceca per il Libe Most Round, il terzo della stagione. Per la prima volta, il campionato approda a Most, dove a imporsi è subito la campionessa in carica: Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team) è la più veloce del venerdì, concludendo la giornata con un 1’50”243 che le consegna la pole provvisoria.
La pilota spagnola rifila ben un secondo alla diretta avversaria odierna, Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse). La pilota toscana, terza inizialmente, scala in seconda posizione dopo la squalifica per irregolarità tecnica di Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA). L’abruzzese inizia a fatica la caccia al riscatto a Most, mentre Santos fa la differenza su tutto il gruppo, che però risulta molto compatto.
Si preannuncia dunque un fine settimana combattuto, con Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA) terza davanti alla cilena Isis Carreño (GP3 AD11). Segue l’israeliana Ran Yochay (Celo Racing), quinta e “leader” di un folto gruppo internazionale: la sudafricana Jessica Howden (Trasimeno) è sesta davanti alla polacca Patrycja Sowa (Sowa Racing).
Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) è ottava nonostante un avvio di weekend difficile a causa di un malore che le ha impedito di disputare le FP1. Nona Mia Rusthen (Trasimeno), che approfitta della squalifica di Beatrice Barbera (GP3 AD11). Irregolarità tecnica anche per la sarda, che cede la nona posizione alla norvegese, seguita così da Lena Kemmer (Bertlkr Racing), che chiude la top 10. Venerdì pomeriggio complicato per Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno) e Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind), costrette a saltare la Q1 dopo un contatto nelle libere che ha distrutto entrambe le moto. Pilote illese, fortunatamente.

“La qualifica è andata bene nonostante il vento. Il circuito è bellissimo, mi piace molto. Sono contenta e domani spero di ripetermi. Voglio ringraziare il team, gli sponsor e la mia famiglia”.
Sara Cabrini – 2^ posizione
“La Q1 è andata bene, come tempo va bene per oggi. Per domani spero di migliorare un po’, stamattina non eravamo messi benissimo. In qualifica abbiamo risolto un po’ di cose e per domani speriamo di rimanere tra le prime”.
Aurelia Cruciani – 3^ posizione
“La giornata è iniziata un po’ in salita con una caduta per il vento forte. Poi è andata migliorando, abbiamo ripreso subito il miglior tempo di ieri. In qualifica sono sempre stata da sola e ho fatto un bel tempo di cui sono molto contenta. Domani cerchiamo di fare ancora meglio”.
Domani è già giornata di gare, ma prima si svolgerà la qualifica, alle ore 10:10. Gara 1 scatta alle ore 14:15. Il Libe Most Round si concluderà domenica con Gara 2, che partirà alle ore 9:45.
