The Autodromo del Mugello welcomes the Women’s European Championship for the penultimate round of the 2023 season. Among the Tuscan hills Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno) leads the combined classification of the Friday free practice sessions. The Spanish rider wants to maintain her second position in the general classification and starts the weekend in the right way.
Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA) closes Friday’s free practice in second position, after dominating in the morning. On a dry and sunny track, Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team) is third. The Spaniard arrives at Mugello as reigning champion and starts the weekend more calmly, remaining almost six tenths behind Rivera.
Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse) is fourth, and she precedes Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA), fifth. Austrian Lena Kemmer (Bertlkr Racing) is sixth and she is ahead of Israeli Ran Yochay (Celo Racing), seventh. The WEC is full of internationality, in eighth position we find the South African Jessica Howden (Trasimeno). The Polish Patrjcya Sowa (Sowa Racing) and Beatrice Barbera (GP3 AD11) close the top 10 in ninth and tenth respectively. Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) is eleventh ahead of Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind).
Natalia Rivera – 1st position
“We ended the free practices in first position, and we are very happy. We did a good job, both the team and me. We are focused on tomorrow qualifying. I want to thank the team, the sponsors and who supports me”.
Roberta Ponziani – 2nd position
“Today it was a good day, I was first in the morning and second in the afternoon. We worked very well, I love this track, finally we are back to Italy. I’m happy and positive for tomorrow, let’s see what we can do”.
Beatriz Neila Santos – 3rd position
“Our Friday was not bad, but it could have been better. We are fixing the bike because I’ve always been here with the Yamaha and with the Kawasaki everything is different. We are working and I’m happy. Thank you to everyone”.
Tomorrow Qualifying 1 will start at 9am and Qualifying 2 at 5.55pm. The weekend will end with the race, which will start on Sunday at 10:40 a.m.

Rivera brilla nel venerdì della WEC Motosprint Mugello round
L’Autodromo del Mugello accoglie la Women’s European Championship per il penultimo appuntamento della stagione, tra le colline toscane è Natalia Rivera (Trasimeno) a comandare il venerdì di prove libere. La pilota spagnola vuole mantenere la seconda posizione nella classifica generale e inizia il weekend con il piede giusto.
Roberta Ponziani (Roc’n’DeA) chiude il venerdì di libere in seconda posizione, dopo aver dominato il primo turno. Su pista asciutta e con il sole, Beatriz Neila Santos (511 Racing Team) è terza. La spagnola arriva al Mugello da campionessa in carica e inizia il weekend con più calma, rimanendo a quasi sei decimi da Rivera.
In quarta posizione c’è Sara Cabrini (Gradara Corse), che precede Aurelia Cruciani (Roc’n’DeA), quinta. L’austriaca Lena Kemmer (Bertlkr Racing) è sesta e precede l’israeliana Ran Yochay (Celo Racing), settima. Ancora tanta internazionalità in ottava posizione, dove c’è la sudafricana Jessica Howden (Trasimeno). Chiudono la top 10 la polacca Patrjcya Sowa (Sowa Racing) e Beatrice Barbera (GP3 AD11), nona e decima rispettivamente. Martina Guarino (MotoXRacing) è undicesima davanti a Maria Saluste (Motoclub Sinilind).
Natalia Rivera – 1^ posizione
“Abbiamo concluso le prove libere in prima posizione e siamo molto contenti. Abbiamo fatto un buon lavoro, sia il team che io. Siamo già concentrati nella qualifica di domani. Ringrazio il team, gli sponsor e chi mi supporta”.
Roberta Ponziani – 2^ posizione
“Oggi è andata abbastanza bene, sono stata prima la mattina e seconda il pomeriggio. Abbiamo lavorato bene, poi la pista mi piace molto, finalmente siamo tornate in Italia. Sono contenta e ottimista per domani, vedremo cosa riusciremo a fare”.
Beatriz Neila Santos – 3^ posizione
“Il venerdì non è andato male, ma poteva andare meglio. Ma stiamo sistemando la moto perché qui ho sempre girato con la Yamaha e con la Kawasaki è tutto diverso. Stiamo lavorando e sono contenta. Ringrazio tutti”.
Domani andranno in scena le Qualifiche 1 alle ore 9 e le Qualifiche 2 alle ore 17:55. Il weekend si concluderà con la gara, che scatterà domenica alle ore 10:40.
